In this picture, you can clearly see that my note taking skills are a very large part of why I didn’t do better in school.
But that’s ok, because I finally got around to emailing D-man some clips so he can put together a soundboard! Yaaaaaaay!
Now, as a reward for your patience with me neglecting this bloggy space, have a recipe!
Do you like Sriracha? Do you like salt? Then you’ll love Sriracha Salt!
This fine ground finishing salt is great on hard boiled eggs, popcorn, and pretty much anything that needs a sprinkling of AWESOME.
You only need 2 ingredients and an oven to make this, too!
Sriracha:
and Salt!:
-Just add 4 Table spoons of Sriracha to a bowl, and combine it with a cup of salt. mix them together until they turn a scary reddish orange color. Preheat your oven to 350 while you do this.
-spread this mixture out on a parchment paper lined baking pan.
-put the pan into the oven, and TURN THE OVEN OFF. do NOT forget this step, or you will have a house full of spicy smoke, and NO sriracha salt.
-check on the salt frequently, but it should take 2-3 hours to completely dry.
-break the mass of spicy salty goodness into chunks, toss them into your blender and pulse it until you get a fine powder, and enjoy! Alternatively, you can put the chunks in a bag and smash them up with a hammer for a coarser salt.
Let me know if you make this, and how you like it! I originally made it for the food swap I mentioned in last week’s podcast, but may end up just keeping it all for myself 😉
